July 1st – 4th, 2011 – Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Anime Expo 2011, North America’s largest anime and manga event, has announced popular anime voice actor and singer Vic Mignogna as an official Guest of Honor when it returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center and Nokia Theater. July 6th – August 3rd – Writers on Genre Series 2011At the WGF/WGA Offices, 7000 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048. A series of in-depth interviews with top screenwriters on the major screenwriting genres, presented by the Writers Guild Foundation. Free underground parking included. July 8th – 18th – The 2011 Ventura Film Festival includes over 245 films and screenplays. Over 100 filmmakers will be attending the opening and closing nights and will be giving question/answer sessions at their films. Ventura Film Festival


July 15th – 30th Behind Closed Doors: A 2nd Class Cabaret. Having its opening workshop run at Your > > Theatre (The Hayworth) off of Wilshire, Los Angeles, California. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. 2nd Class Cabaret


July 15th -17th – da Vinci Days in Corvallis, OR. This year’s keynote speaker, Michael Epstein, is an Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director, writer and producer. da Vinci Days


July 16th – 17th – The Robot Film Festival in New York City. Hey Botters — in case you haven’t already heard, there’s going to be a Robot Film Festival spearheaded by the illustrious Heather Knight.  This will certainly be a cool event to see as their Vimeo teaser gallery proves. July 21st – 24th – Comic-Con International 2011 roars back into the San Diego Convention Center with Preview Night on July 20. Actors Reporter will be there on Saturday, July 23rd. If you see our cameras, stop by and say hi! We’ll be looking for you. Comic-Con


July 21st – 29th – LA Shorts Fest 15th Annual LA Shorts Fest. This is the largest short film festival in the world. And, it will take place at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Theaters, in Los Angeles. LA Shorts Fest

July 29th – 30th – La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. The best of the international fashion film art movement brought to you in two screening programs 7:30 – 9:30pm July 29 & 30 in the world class theater at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla.
