The Hollywood Reporter – Carrie Fisher’s Personal ‘Star Wars’ Scripts Up for Auction, by Patrick Shanley
Copies of the actress’ scripts are up for sale and feature hand-written notes and inscriptions from George Lucas.
You can now own Carrie Fisher’s personal copies of several Star Wars scripts.
Profiles in History said Thursday that they will be putting the star’s personal, hand-annotated shooting scripts of the classic films up for auction during their three day Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds personal property action on Oct. 7-9 in Los Angeles.
The first script up for auction is Fisher’s personal, hand-annotated shooting script from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. The 158-page script features annotations by Fisher underlying subtext and context for Leia’s dialogue. It is estimated to sell for $30,000-$50,000. Read Entire Artice Here
Variety – Jim Carrey to Star in New Showtime Comedy Series ‘Kidding’, by Joe Otterson
Jim Carrey will star in a new Showtime comedy series in his first regular television role since his days on the 1990’s sketch show “In Living Color,” Showtime announced Thursday.
The half-hour series is titled “Kidding,” in which Carrey will play Jeff, a.k.a. Mr. Pickles, an icon of children’s television, who also anchors a multimillion dollar branding empire. But when his family begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. Showtime has ordered a 10-episode first season.
The role further expands Carrey’s relationship with Showtime, as he currently executive produces the dramedy “I’m Dying Up Here,” which was recently renewed for a second season. Read Entire Artice Here
