Rene Rosado is an actor, known for Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), St. Paul (2005) and Go for It! (2011).
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Francisco Ordonez graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the City University of New York. He completed his MFA in Film Directing at The Columbia University School of the Arts in NY City where he was honored as a Film Division Fellow.
Francisco’s Thesis Film, “St. Paul”, has been awarded Best Short at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival, the IFP Audience Award at the Columbia University Film Festival, The Committee award at the Miami International Short Film Festival, and Best Short at the 24th Annual Imagen Awards, among other honors.
Francisco’s 2nd short film, “Cookie,” premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and continues to play the film festival circuit where it has received Honorable Mention at The Holly Shorts Film Festival, and is a Finalist in the NBC Universal Shortcuts Film Festival.
Francisco has also directed commercials and industrials for ad agencies such as Cline Davis and Mann (CDMi), Euro RSCG and Brand Addict for clients such as Genentech, Match.com, Amgen, Human Genome Sciences, and Glaxo Smith Kline.
On the feature film front, Francisco has been hired to direct the film, “Blood of the Martyr,” written and produced by Franc Reyes, via Reyes’ production company, Alumbra Films, and “The Center of the World” from screenwriter, Rafael Agustin and Producer, Marlene Dermer, Co-founder and Director of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.
Francisco is also raising financing and attaching cast for his feature screenplay, “Asher,” based on his award winning short film, “St. Paul.” The script for “Asher” was a Finalist in the Tribeca Film Festival All Access Program and honored by the Columbia University Film Division Faculty.
