Through 19th March – The Broad – This examination of different approaches to figuration and self-representation takes over the Broad’s first floor more than 50 mostly post-’80s works. Local artist Thomas Houseago’s imposing 15-foot-tall Giant Figure (Cyclops) sculpture, in its U.S. debut, sits at the exhibition’s entrance. The rest of the show compiles a range of human figures, from Jean-Michel Basquiat’s primitivist profiles to Alex Israel’s selfie-shaped canvases, plus more than 25 other artists, including Leon Golub, Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons, Georg Baselitz, Takashi Murakami and Andy Warhol. 1st March – 28th April – AFAN Youth Art Month Exhibit. Arts for All Nevada at the Lake Mansion will be filled with colorful and imaginative children’s artwork as part of the annual nationally celebrated Youth Art Month. Reno, NV.




2nd – 12th – Festival of the Arts Boca – This annual eclectic 10-day event always features the finest in music, dance, film and authors. Boca Raton, Florida.

3rd – 12th March – North Lake Tahoe Snowfest! Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with fun-filled days and nights, jam packed with events and activities for all ages. 4th March – 29th Annual NW Florida Forestry Conclave & Lumberjack Festival. Get your jeans and flannel shirts ready! Bluegrass music, nature & wildlife exhibits, firefighting equipment demonstrations, food and children’s activities. Learn about the environmental degree programs offered by Pensacola State and the University of Florida at the Milton campus. 16th March – This charming and cheekily named singing string quartet has been honing its craft all over the world for the past few years. In their latest set the boys share selections from their new album, Popssical, which includes their take on the likes of Beethoven, Ravel and Taylor Swift. Singer-songwriter Anne Steele is the special guest at their City Winery debut. New York.




17th March – St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Farmers Market. Celtic music and world-famous corned beef and cabbage, green beer and St. Pat cookies. Los Angeles.

30th March – The SFJAZZ Collective is an all-star award-winning jazz ensemble comprising eight of the finest performers/composers at work in jazz today. Each season the Collective focuses its repertoire on a different modern master, and this season the octet will be exploring the music of Miles Davis.
