Through 20th April – Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science – Through hands-on challenges, authentic artifacts and guidance from archaeologists, this interactive exhibit will unearth the mysteries of Egypt, its culture and people. Through 28th April – AFAN Youth Art Month Exhibit. Arts for All Nevada at the Lake Mansion will be filled with colorful and imaginative children’s artwork as part of the annual nationally celebrated Youth Art Month. Reno, NV.

The Hollywood Museum salutes Jean Harlow’s legendary career with an exhibit of memorabilia saluting the original “Platinum Blonde” and “Blonde Bombshell” who defined glamour and sex appeal during the early days of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Through 30th April 2017 – O, MIAMI POETRY FESTIVAL – This month-long event’s bold mission is to have every person in Miami-Dade County encounter a poem. Mixing traditional readings with innovative poetry-in-public places projects, the festival weaves poetry into the fabric of the city’s existing infrastructure and cultural life. It’s a community-based festival that considers itself a “Miami” festival first and a “poetry” festival second because the poetry is the means to celebrate the city. Omiami

31st March – 2nd April 2017 – Lady Luck Tattoo Arts & History Expo. The Lady Luck Tattoo Arts Expo 2017 promises to be a fantastic tattoo event in the Biggest Little City in the World! 1st April 2017 – Spiritual Masterworks: Mourning-Healing. The RCO collaborates yet again with the University of Nevada, Reno Chamber Chorale in a presentation titled “Spiritual Masterworks: Mourning-Healing”. The monumental Stabat Mater by the Czech master Antonin Dvorak is the centerpiece of this program. Written in response to the death of his daughter, Josefa, the composer delayed completion of the work. He returned to it in 1877 following the death of two more of his children and it was premiered in 1880 in Prague. Reno, NV.

7th-9th April 2017 – ROCK THE OCEAN TORTUGA MUSIC FESTIVAL – In five short years, this gathering has become one of the most anticipated music festivals in the country. The sands of Fort Lauderdale will once again be transformed into an oceanfront multi-stage fest for music lovers and ocean lovers alike. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday headliners are, respectively, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Kenny Chesney. 7th-9th April 2017 – VENICE SHARK’S TOOTH FESTIVAL – Did you know that Venice, a great little town on the Southwest coast, is known as the “Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World?” That’s because of the millions of shark’s teeth that have washed up on the beaches there. The festival turns 25 this year. Shark memorabilia will be on display and for sale. 13th April 2017 – Tamsin Greig is Malvolia in a new twist on Shakespeare’s classic comedy of mistaken identity. Simon Godwin (Man and Superman, The Beaux’ Stratagem) directs this joyous new production with Tamsin Greig (Friday Night Dinner, Black Books, Episodes) as a transformed Malvolia. an ensemble cast that includes Daniel Rigby (Flowers, Jericho), Tamara Lawrence (Undercover), Doon Mackichan (Smack the Pony) and Daniel Ezra (The Missing, Undercover). A ship is wrecked on the rocks. Viola is washed ashore but her twin brother Sebastian is lost. Determined to survive on her own, she steps out to explore a new land.
