Duolingo – Duolingo’s lessons help you hone in on your listening and speaking skills, and offer up multiple choice tests and translation challenges. Headspace – This app promotes mindfulness through its guided, customized meditation sessions, whether you’ve got two or twenty minutes to spare. Uptick – Through this app, you’ll be partnered up with a coach who will help craft your schedule and goals — and provide the extra nudge you need to stay on target.

Variety, January 5th – Disney Junior Experiments With Science-Themed ‘Miles From Tomorrowland’ by Elizabeth Wagmeister.

Disney Junior is blasting off with a new science-based adventure cartoon series. The half-hour toon incorporates science facts, with the help of consultants from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, among other experts, into the journey of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family as they travel the galaxy via the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, an obvious nod to Disneyland.“Miles From Tomorrowland” is set to premiere Feb. 6th.
