February 1st-9th – International Short Film Festival. This small city in the picturesque Massif Central in France hosts one of short films most important dates in the calendar. Commissioners, film students and short film buyers swarm every year to what is essentially a film market, conveniently squeezed between Rotterdam and Berlin which makes it part of the 3 stop business holiday for most international and down-under film agencies.


February 5th-7th – Event Live Expo – Event Live Expo is set to be the leading industry infrastructure event providing a truly creative and inspiring supplier-buyer meeting point specifically for all those involved in large-scale big budget live event production. February 7th-15th – European Film Market – Berlin’s blizzard February cold deters the networking masses that attend Cannes, which makes this a phenomenally more productive market. The festival also hosts the Berlin Talent Campus and Co-Production Market.


February 7th-17th – Berlin Film Festival. Berlin Film Festival has become probably Europe’s best-respected film festival. Awards handed out include the incredibly obscure Panorama Award, the new Generation Crystal Bear and the cute Teddy [bear] Award for LGBT.


February 14th-17th – 17th Annual Millennium Music Conference at the Radisson Hotel & Convention Center (Camp Hill) and 30 showcase venues in and around Harrisburg, PA. The conference features two afternoons of music business panels, clinics, workshops, networking, day stage, one-on-one mentoring & demo listening sessions, and industry trade show. In the evenings the event celebrates new music with three nights of showcase performances featuring over 300 original acts at 30 live music venues. 


February 20th-21st – DMW Music – Join 500+ of the most influential music and digital media leaders as they gather in Downtown New York to socialize, share ideas, do deals and learn about new technologies and services.


February 22nd-24th – Los Angeles Times Travel Show – The Los Angeles Times Travel Show is an important event for travel businesses that are interested in reaching the Southern California market. February 23rd-March 2nd – The Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou held biannually in Burkina Faso is one of the largest festivals on the African continent focusing mainly only African films and filmmakers and comprising the MICA (African International Film and Television Market).


February 25th-27th – Smart Energy Summit – This event features a unique combination of market research, including Parks Associates’ landmark Residential Energy Management service, and real-world expertise, with industry experts examining the impact of smart grids on home systems.
