Through Sept 3, 2012 – Cinecon Classic Film Festival at The Egyptian Theatre. A 5-day celebration of movies, specializing in rare, unusual and unjustly forgotten movies from the silent and early sound era. It features screenings of over 30 classic films, celebrity guests and film book and movie memorabilia shows. Most films are screened in 35mm and silent films include live piano accompaniment.


Through September 3rd – Telluride Film Festival.

September 2nd – Labor Day Bash 2012 at Playhouse, Hollywood, CA. Playhouse’s Labor Day parties have been recorded to be some of the biggest events in the history of nightlife in Los Angeles.


September 4th – Where Music meets Art- Working for the USA release party. At the renowned gGallery in Santa Monica to celebrate the release of: Steve Cooke’s anthem for the working man, “Working for the USA.” Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Steve Cooke will be performing live with his all-star band, so come and experience exceptional art, great music and some fine D’Anbino Wine! September 5th-9th – Burbank International Film Festival.
The Burbank Film Festival is a socially and environmentally conscious film festival. Human, animal, and environmental causes are core subjects the festival. The festival highlights filmmakers that shed light on important issues that impact our world and features a Socially Conscious category.


September 8th – 10th – Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony and Celebration for Walter Koenig. If you are a fan of Star Trek, Babylon 5, Walter Koenig, or television and film in general, this is a MUST-GO-TO event! Tickets are selling fast, don’t miss out. This event requires registration:


September 9th – LNS Entertainment and Project Live Presents True Sounds Producer Showcase w/ special honoree DJ QUIK in Lincoln, Ca. A pre-selected group of elite producers, including previous honoree Battlecat will be performing a timed set of their choice. Other producers from this group include Terrace Martin, The Futuristiks, Rick Rock, and League of Starz.


September 12th – 13th – Silicon Beach, a two-day event highlighting innovation in digital media and technology, on the USC campus.


September 14th – 2012 Model & Fitness World Finale at the London West Hollywood, West Hollywood, CA. Fitness Models/Swimsuit Models/Fashion Models from around the world are invited to network with the special invite Professional Entertainment Industry and compete for Title prizes of cash, sponsorship, magazine covers, and more.

September 16th – Begoo Begoo – Special Performance by Mohsen Namjoo in Los Angeles. Iran’s most celebrated musician Mohsen Namjoo joins acclaimed American percussionist Greg Ellis and one of Iran’s pioneering rock bassists Kasra Saboktakin at an intimate concert in Los Angeles to record Namjoo’s new album before a live audience.


September 14th – begins London Fashion Week.






September 19th – 23rd – Ottawa International Film Festival. OIAF is the largest event of its kind in North America, a major film event attracting attendees from around the world. Film buffs, art lovers and cartoon fans won’t want to miss this year’s great line up of screenings taking place at ByTowne Cinema, National Gallery of Canada, Empire Theatres Rideau Centre and Arts Court Theatre.


September 23rd-30th – SoCal Independent Film Festival. The event awards independent films and screenplays, and features speakers, workshops, Q&As and panel discussions.


September 26th-30th – Los Angeles Irish Film Festival. A celebration of Irish films at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.


September 28th – Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Chinese Moon Festival in Universal City at Los Angeles Hilton Hotel, Universal Citywalk. A specialty dinner buffet. Bring the whole family to this annual event with instrumental entertainment from live Chinese musicians.


September 28th-October 14th – The 50th New York Film Festival. This year’s NYFF will offer more opportunities to see more films & filmmakers than ever before. Film Society Members & Patrons can get discounted tickets in advance plus other benefits!


September 29th- 30th – CIRCUS PAWS: Animal-Free Entertainment. A BENEFIT FOR RESCUED AND RETIRED PERFORMING ANIMALS — Circus PAWS is an animal-free circus presentation featuring Nathalie Gaulthier’s Le PeTiT CiRqUe, a troupe of performers, ages 6-13, who rank among the top in the world in aerial arts, juggling, trapeze, hoops, silks, acrobatics, stilts, skateboards, contortionists, and martial arts.
