AFTRA’s UTL Fund
Did you know that AFTRA, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, is holding checks … yes money guys, money that may be for you. AFTRA has a “UTL” Fund. UTL stands for “Unable to Locate. It is a Trust Account maintained by the AFTRA office in Los Angeles where AFTRA puts deposits they have received but AFTRA doesn’t know how to locate the proper recipient of the money.

On the aftra.org website, search for UTL Fund and you will find a webpage where you can search. Remember to search both with a person’s legal name and their professional name.

Some AFTRA members on the list may be deceased but AFTRA doesn’t have their beneficiary information.
So, if you’ve moved and haven’t notified AFTRA, that’s a really good reason to check the UTL list for your name. After all, if the money is for you … you should get it!
