Welcome to the Actors Reporter’s coverage of the CAPE Holiday Soiree 2008! Desiree Anderson joins celebs on the red carpet on a brisk (for California) December evening at Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood for the CAPE awards; the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment.
CAPE, a non-profit trade organization, continues to advance diversity in entertainment since 1991.
This evening, CAPE is honoring actor John Cho with the New Horizons Award, producer & creator of “Heroes” Tim Kring with the Visionary Award, and veteran actor James Hong who has been in over 500 films and TV shows, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. These awards are for advancing diversity through their unique artistic achievements and breaking ground in film and television.
Enjoy Desiree Anderson as she interviews James Hong (“Kung Fu Panda”), James Kyson Lee (“Heroes”), Julia Ling (“Chuck”), Collin Chou (“The Forbidden Kingdom” & “The Matrix Revolutions”), Lauren Tom (“The Replacements” & “Joy Luck Club”), Leonardo Nam (“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2”), and Tim Kring (creator of “Heroes”).
Wow! What a great evening. Thanks for joining Actors Reporter on the red carpet.
Look for Desiree in other red carpet events this issue, including The Thalians Gala Ball, the Chinese American Film Festival, and Comedy To The Max (comedians raise money for one of their own).
