Throughout March, The Actors fund is presenting an ACTORS WORK PROGRAM ORIENTATION.

An introduction to all Actors Work Program services, including group and individual career counseling, job training and education, financial assistance, and job placement services. Orientation is held every Monday except for legal holidays. No reservation or pre-registration required. Also in New York, every Tueday in March, from 10a to noon, the Actors Fund will present an ADVANCED JOB SEEKING SKILLS SEMINAR

Are you ready to begin your sideline job search? Topics covered include: * Web-based job search * Social networking * Cold calling * Telephone techniques.

In Chicago? Want to audition for a talent agency?
Dawn Gray of Dawn Gray Talent will see SAG and AFTRA members for the
purpose of representation on Wednesday, March 25. The submission
deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, March 6. So, if you’re in the Chicago area and you don’t have representation yet or need representation? See what Dawn Gray has to say.

On Monday, March 9th, the Screen Actors Guild in L.A. will hold an OPEN BOARD MEETING , from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. (Light meal will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m.) in the James Cagney Boardroom. The meeting is open to members-at-large for observation. This is part of the new policy that calls for all future meetings of the board to be open, giving Hollywood Division members-at-large the opportunity to see their Hollywood board at work. Space is limited. Reservations are a must and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis . Open only to SAG members affiliated with the Guild’s Hollywood Division and in good standing willing to comply with observation procedures. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
